Moist and Yummy Yellow Cake
1 Tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 1/2 cups sifted cake flour
1 1/2 cups butter, at room temperature and cut into 1/2 inch pieces
2 cups granulated white sugar
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 cup of whole milk
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease cake pans and set aside.
In large bowl, sift together the baking powder and salt. Than whisk in the cake flour. In a large bowl, cream the butter. Add the sugar, and beat until light and fluffy. And the vanilla and keep beating. Add the eggs to the butter mixture, one at time, beating well after each addition.
With the mixer set on low speed, add the flour mixture and the milk to the egg mixture . Pour the batter into the prepared pans, and bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until cake is done in the center. Cool cake for 10 minutes and then invert onto cooling rack and cool completely before frosting.
